1 in 5 school children have a vision problem

One out of every five school children has vision problems which could inhibit school achievement.

Many parents don’t realize that undiagnosed vision problems can result in learning or behavioural difficulties for children as they struggle to read, see the board, or focus on the computer screen at home and at school.

Does your child repeatedly squint, rub or blink their eyes?
Avoid close work?
Hold books too close?
Use a finger to follow lines?
Turn their head to read?
Complain of blurred vision or headaches?
Mix up similar words or letters?

If the answer to any of these is yes, a comprehensive eye examination is necessary.
