Digital Retinal Imaging

Our philosophy is to give the very best eye examinations.

Eyes & Vision Optometrists are proud to be the first to introduce revolutionary new millennium Digital Retinal Imaging as part of our basic patient care.

Digital retinal imaging allows us to produce a comprehensive image of your retina as part of a routine eye examination.

In most cases no drops are required. Images are analyzed and then stored on computer. They can be viewed at your next visit for comparison.

This technology enables us to better care for the health of your eyes through this superior technique of viewing the eye internally with a simple, quick and patient-friendly new examination. This aids the early detection and diagnosis of many potentially blinding eye diseases. There is a small gap for this service.

Any eye examination should always include a careful look at the retina, which is located at the back of the eye, to screen for abnormalities or disease. The macula, the area of clearest vision in the eye, receives the light coming into the eye. It transforms the light energy to electrical energy which is transmitted to the brain through the optic nerve. The blood vessels, veins and arteries are visible in the retina. The eye is the only part of the body where you can directly view blood vessels.
